Boys Development Academy

 The Boys Development Academy is an exciting new program designed to run alongside the HEAT Boys Club season, providing a structured environment for competitive boys volleyball development in the Central Valley. This academy serves as a crucial bridge between school seasons, allowing teams to maintain cohesion, develop skills, and build stronger programs year-round. 

 The Boys Development Academy was created with a clear purpose: to grow competitive boys volleyball throughout the valley while helping build and maintain cohesion for school teams. Unlike traditional club volleyball, this program focuses specifically on keeping school teams together during the off-season, allowing coaches to develop their systems and players to strengthen their connections in a more affordable, accessible format. 

• Team Formation: School coaches gather team(s) of 8+ players from their school
• Teams: Schools can form multiple teams at various levels (Junior High, Freshman, JV, Varsity) but they will play at the age group of the oldest player. U12, U14, U16, U18 per USAV age definitions
• Registration: Coaches register under JVA (Junior Volleyball Association) and provide rosters and contact information to HEAT. Players then register individually to those teams through HEAT
• Team Composition: Teams consist exclusively of players from the coach's school.
• Season: Runs concurrently with boys volleyball season (August-December)
• Age Groups: Boys ages 12-18 

• Weekly Training: One 1.5 hour practice session per week at a HEAT facility
• Uniform Package: Uniform set for all participants (Jersey and Shorts)
• Competition: Team entry into HEAT League and HEAT Events throughout the season
• Coaching Stipend: Heat Coaches can only coach one team as events will run concurrent. Head Coaches will be paid a stipend for their time.  

• Continuity: Maintain team chemistry and momentum between school seasons

• Team Systems: Time for coaches to implement and refine team systems and strategies
• Affordability: More accessible than traditional club volleyball at $500 per athlete for the entire 5-month season
• School Pride: Strengthen school volleyball programs through year-round development
• Reduced Conflicts: Designed to complement school schedules and other activities 

•  Cost: $500 per athlete for the full 5-month season or a payment plan of $125/month
• Deadline: August 31st
